Freeski Academy
Built out of a love for skiing.
Since 2021, Freeski Academy has brought together people who want to ski better and discover freeski. We train in Lithuania, travel to camps and share experience gained on snow at home and abroad.
We help some people get started, others learn a new trick or take things further. What brings us together is a love of skiing and enjoying what we do.
Our story
My journey into freeski started long before the academy. I skied at SnowArena, travelled to the mountains, tried tricks and entered international competitions. I wanted to learn more, but at the time I had no freeski coach in Lithuania to help me.
YouTube tutorials were my coach. I watched, tried to copy what I saw and learned from my mistakes. Sometimes those attempts were painful. I needed someone to explain where to start, what to change and when I was ready for the next step.
I didn’t achieve major competitive results myself, but my desire to ski never went away. As a coach, I helped others work towards those results and shared in the joy of their achievements. I still love what I do. Over time, I wanted to pass on that experience and create an opportunity to learn with a coach in Lithuania.
The first Freeski Academy training session took place in October 2021.

Our vision
We want to help raise skiing standards and strengthen ski culture in Lithuania. To give everyone the chance to learn with a coach, improve their ski control and find their own style.
We’re building a community where people can ski for enjoyment. For those who want more, we aim to create opportunities to train more consistently, progress and pursue sporting goals.
More than training
Where do I start?
Group sessions are for skiers who can already ski independently, control their speed and make parallel turns. No park or trick experience is needed.
If you’re just starting out, you can learn in private sessions with us or at a ski school of your choice.
