Freeski Academy Juniors

Privacy policy

Updated 31 October 2026.

This policy explains how we process personal data about visitors to freeskiacademy.lt, people who contact us and participants.

1. Data controller

VŠĮ „Freeski“ Akademija, legal entity code 305941028, M. K. Čiurlionio g. 9-28, LT-66164 Druskininkai, Lithuania. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email info@freeskiacademy.lt or call +370 622 36934.

2. Training and camp enquiries

Our form asks for your full name, the participant’s first name and age, your email address and phone number, and the participant’s skiing experience. You may optionally provide a preferred training location and a message. This form does not ask for a date of birth or national identification number.

We use these details to respond, discuss suitable training and contact you. When you enquire about your own participation, processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). When a parent or guardian enquires about a child, we process the child’s details on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to the representative’s request and identifying activities suited to the child’s age and skills (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), taking account of the child’s rights and interests.

Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Without these details, we could not properly handle your enquiry. Please do not include health data or other sensitive information in your message. Submitting the form does not confirm a place in a group or give consent to marketing.

3. Enquiries about participants under 18

A parent or guardian should enquire on behalf of a participant under 18, providing their own contact details and the participant’s first name and age in the separate fields. Adults can enquire on their own behalf.

4. Who receives your data?

Enquiries are delivered to info@freeskiacademy.lt and reviewed by the academy director, Mantas Točelis. We do not store enquiry data in shared Excel or Google Sheets spreadsheets and do not routinely forward it to other coaches.

We use Hostinger for website hosting and email. The service provider may process data as necessary to deliver and secure these services. We may also disclose data to competent authorities when required by law. We do not sell personal data.

5. How long do we keep your data?

If you do not join our activities after enquiring, we retain your correspondence and submitted details for up to six months after our last communication, then delete them. Where information is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, we may retain the relevant information for as long as necessary for that purpose.

If you join our activities, retention of data needed to perform a contract or meet accounting obligations depends on the relevant documents and legal requirements. The enquiry form itself does not create a participation contract.

6. Website security and cookies

To serve the website, the server may process your IP address, request time, requested URL and technical browser information. This is used to deliver the website, identify faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable website operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To protect the enquiry form, we limit submissions using a technical identifier derived from the IP address. The rate-limit period is 15 minutes. This protection does not store enquiry contents or contact details. Hosting logs and backups are handled according to the service configuration and the provider’s retention rules.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and improve content. In the European Economic Area, the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited. The analytics tag does not load and analytics data is not sent to Google until you choose “Accept analytics”. The legal basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not enable advertising personalisation or Google Signals.

If you accept, the cookies _ga and _ga_ES0QCMJ0WP may be used to distinguish browsers and visits. We set their lifetime to a maximum of 180 days. Analytics may process information about visits, pages viewed, device, browser, approximate location and traffic source. We do not include form contents in our analytics events. We remove query parameters and fragments from the page URL in our page-view event.

Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under fa-analytics-consent-v1 for up to 180 days. You can change or withdraw consent through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting analytics removes our domain’s analytics cookies and stops further collection. It does not automatically erase data previously collected lawfully.

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area using the transfer safeguards applicable to its services. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner sites.

7. Photos and videos

We use identifiable participants’ photos and videos to present the academy’s activities on the basis of separately obtained consent. For children, we obtain consent from parents or guardians and take account of the child’s own wishes. The channels, purposes and period of use are specified in the individual consent.

You can withdraw consent by emailing info@freeskiacademy.lt and identifying the material concerned. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Refusing permission to publish an image does not prevent participation in activities.

8. Newsletter and external links

Newsletter subscriptions and online payments are not currently enabled. Sending a training enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Links to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp or partner websites take you to other services governed by their own privacy policies. These services may process data outside the European Economic Area. Before joining a private WhatsApp group, consider that your phone number and profile information may be visible to other group members.

9. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. These rights depend on the legal basis and applicable statutory exceptions.

Email requests to info@freeskiacademy.lt. We may ask for additional information where necessary to verify your identity. We will respond within one month. For complex requests, this period may be extended by a further two months, with notice during the first month.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may complain to Lithuania’s State Data Protection Inspectorate. We do not carry out automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when website features or processing activities change. The date of the current version appears at the top of this page.
