Two pathways. Your pace.

Foundation and Development offer age-based pathways. Training is adapted to participants’ skills.

Freeski Academy JuniorsAges 7–11

Foundation

For children who already ski independently and want more than regular ski lessons. We build technique, explore different slopes and discover freeski.

  • Ski control and confidence on snow
  • First park features when ready
  • Learning in a small group

Regular piste skis can be used for Juniors sessions.

Development

For young people who want to improve their ski control, try the park and learn new tricks. No park experience is needed. We train in small groups and progress at our own pace.

  • Skiing technique and understanding movement
  • Jumps, features and new tricks matched to ability
  • Developing your own style and confidence

Twin-tip skis are required for Development training. We can help you choose and buy them.

Let’s talk about training

Adults aged 18+ can join Development sessions. We are also forming a separate adult group.

Where do I start?

Group sessions are for skiers who can already ski independently, control their speed and make parallel turns. No park or trick experience is needed.

Just starting to ski?

You can learn in private sessions with us or at a ski school of your choice. Once you can control your skis independently, we’ll help you choose a group.

Not sure which pathway fits?

Tell us the participant’s age and a little about their skiing experience. We’ll discuss where to start.

Year-round programme

For those who want to train all year round.

A training format that offers ways to get involved throughout the seasons. It’s for those who want more time on skis and in training. Competition is not required.

Summer

Trampolines and airbag

We learn new tricks and try other activities. Details of AIRBAG camps will be announced in spring.

Autumn

SnowArena and camp

Training at SnowArena and the first camp of the season. The camp location may change each year.

Winter

Training on snow

SnowArena, Liepkalnis when open, and mountain camps. The Austria camp is planned for January.

Spring

Closing the season

Spring skiing and a season-ending camp in Kläppen, Sweden.

Training options depend on the season and the groups being formed. Camp details are shared with participants in a private WhatsApp group.

What do we explore in the park?

We start with features suited to each skier’s ability. Bigger jumps and more complex tricks come gradually.

Slopestyle

Jumps and features on one course. We learn to choose a line and link features into a flowing run.

Big Air

Jumps, air awareness, spins, grabs and landings.

Street Style

Rails, boxes, balance and creative ways to ride features.

The academy does not currently offer halfpipe training.

Let’s start with a conversation.

Tell us about yourself or your child. We’ll discuss the right pathway, training options and the next step. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a place in a group.
